“Our models are real people affected by suicide, depression, bullying, and low self-esteem. Each person that walks our runway is empowered by our training and the incredible experiences they gain through LOLC programs. LOLC is a family and a major support system for individuals needing a positive outlet to rebuild their confidence and is extremely informative in saving lives through suicide prevention,” ~ Founder Sherrie Gearheart
July 8 - Models for Liberia - is a campaign where models not only participate in three outdoor photo shoots, they also have a chance to take a stand for those that need it most in Liberia. Liberia is the 4th poorest country in the world and has suffered great loss and devastation.
Models will work with professionals in the industry to perfect their individual and group posing. 100% of proceeds go toward suicide prevention in Liberia. According to Front Page Africa over one million Liberians suffer from depression (out of a total population of 4.5 million) due to the Ebola crisis and lack of post war counseling. Depression is the leading cause to suicide. Live Out Loud Charity is working in Liberia to educate individuals on the signs of depression and how to do an intervention. This summer LOLC hopes to return to Liberia. Models participating in this shoot will help facilitate change on a global level. Please click here for more information or to register.
